The most frequent complaint involves ovens that won't heat at all. This typically signals a broken heating element or electrical fault preventing power from reaching the element. Electric ovens rely on bake and broil elements that glow red when functioning properly.
Oven testing evaluates the performance of a material or product in high-temperature conditions.
A sample is placed in an oven and heated to simulate these high temperatures. The performance of the sample is then observed to assess how well it performs under such conditions.
In the test, the cookware is placed in an oven set to a temperature 20 °C higher than the manufacturer's recommended maximum temperature, or 250 °C if no maximum temperature is provided.
